Affiliate program terms
Version 2026-11-03. This is the version in force and the one you accept when you join the program.
What the program is
The Pandora Search affiliate program lets people with an audience (a channel, a profile, a newsletter, a website) recommend Pandora Search with their own link and earn a commission on what the customers they bring pay. It is run directly by the owner of Pandora Search, who provides the service under the Terms of service. These terms apply in addition to those Terms, the Acceptable use policy and the Privacy policy: anything not covered here is governed by them. The contact address for anything about the program is info@pandorasearch.com.
Who can take part
Anyone of legal age with the capacity to enter into an agreement, or an entity through its representative, who can receive PayPal payments. You join with a Pandora Search account by pressing the join button, and by doing so you accept these terms. One person or entity is one affiliate.
Your link and how a sale is attributed
When you join we give you an affiliate code. All your links carry it (the via parameter), whether they point
to the home page, pricing, an article or any other Pandora Search page.
- When someone clicks one of your links and accepts analytics in the cookie banner, their browser stores a Pandora Search cookie for 30 days. If in that time they create an account, or sign in to one that has never paid, that account is tied to your code. Without that consent nothing is stored and the visit cannot be attributed to you.
- The first link clicked wins: if that person later clicks another affiliate's link, the sale is still yours.
- A purchase is attributed to you when it is made by a new customer (an account that has never paid anything on Pandora Search) and their first purchase starts within those 30 days.
- Your own purchases, those of accounts you control, and those made without going through your link or outside the window are not attributed.
Tracking depends on each person's browser and choice: someone who declines analytics, clears cookies, browses privately or blocks them may not be tied to you. The figures our systems record, which you see in your panel, are the ones used to calculate commissions.
The commission
You receive 20% of every payment made by the customer you brought, calculated on the amount before taxes (without VAT or equivalent taxes):
- On plans (ANALYST, INVESTIGATOR or AGENCY), monthly or annual: on the first payment and every renewal of that subscription, for as long as the customer keeps paying it, including if they change plan within it.
- On a one-time payment (a lifetime plan or a credit pack) that is their first purchase: once.
Later purchases by the same customer do not earn a commission. Commissions are calculated in US dollars; a payment in euros or pounds sterling is converted at the reference exchange rate we use on the day the commission is recorded. Each commission is rounded down to the cent and, once recorded, is not recalculated.
Refunds and chargebacks
If a payment is refunded or reversed by a chargeback, its commission is deducted: if it had not been paid yet, it comes out of the payout it was in; if it had been paid, it is deducted from your next commissions, and your balance may go negative until new ones make up for it.
When and how you get paid
- Each commission is paid on day 10 of the third month after the customer's payment: those from September sales, on December 10. That is the time needed to confirm each sale: that the customer does not ask for a refund, that their bank does not reverse it with a chargeback and that no dispute is left open. Until that day it shows as pending.
- On that day we pay by PayPal, in US dollars, what you are due if it reaches $100. If it does not, it carries over to the next month.
- Your panel always shows your next payouts, each with its date and amount, and everything pending.
- The payout goes to the PayPal email you set in your panel. We pay the full amount; whatever PayPal or your bank charges you to receive it is on your side.
- You are responsible for declaring your income and for the taxes that apply to you in your country.
- If you think a payout is wrong, write to us within 30 days and we will review it.
Your panel
In your affiliate panel you see your clicks, the accounts your links bring and how many end in a sale, your commissions including refunds, your next payouts, your payout history and your links. The panel shows aggregate figures: we do not share the personal data of the customers you bring.
Pandora for free for content creators
If you are a content creator with more than 10,000 followers across your public profiles, you can ask us by email for a free Pandora Search plan to create content about the product. We review each request by hand, reply by email and may accept or decline it without giving a reason. If we accept it, we send you a gift code: we decide the plan and the days, it needs no card, it ends by itself and it is neither a payment nor a commission. The profiles and followers you give us must be yours and real; if they are not, we may withdraw the plan and end your participation.
How you may promote Pandora Search
You may recommend it on your social networks, channels, newsletters, websites and videos, and in messages to your own audience, as long as you:
- tell the truth about the service: no promising features, data or results it does not offer, and no presenting it as an official, police or security service;
- say it is an affiliate link or sponsored content where the law or the platform you publish on requires it;
- use the Pandora Search name and logo only to recommend it, without modifying them;
- do not show third parties' personal data obtained with Pandora Search (in screenshots, videos or streams): use your own data or fictitious examples, and respect the Acceptable use policy.
You may not:
- send unsolicited bulk messages or emails (spam);
- bid on search ads for "Pandora Search" or its variants, or use the brand in domains, profile names or ads that could be mistaken for the official ones;
- generate fake, automated or incentivised clicks or accounts, or set the cookie without the person having clicked your link;
- buy through your own link or with accounts you control;
- publish coupons or discounts we have not given you, or impersonate Pandora Search;
- promote it to harass, monitor or locate people, or next to content that is illegal, misleading, hateful or infringes third-party rights.
Suspension and leaving
You can leave the program at any time by writing to info@pandorasearch.com. We may pause or end your participation at any time. If it ends without a breach on your part, we pay the commissions already earned on their dates, even if they do not reach the minimum. If there is fraud or a breach of these terms, we may withhold and cancel the commissions concerned.
Changes to these terms
We may change these terms, including the commission, the timings and the payout minimum. We notify substantial changes by email at least 14 days in advance, and they apply to commissions earned from the date they come into force: commissions already earned are governed by the terms in force at the time. Staying in the program after that date means accepting them.
Relationship between the parties and liability
You take part as an independent party: the program creates no employment, partnership or agency relationship, and you may not bind Pandora Search or speak on its behalf. The program is offered as is: we do not guarantee a level of sales or that tracking works in every browser, and our liability to you is limited, at most, to the commissions you have pending payment. You are responsible for what you publish and for it complying with the law.
Personal data
We process the program's data (your email, your PayPal email and your links' statistics) to manage your participation and pay you, under the Privacy policy. If you close your account, your PayPal email is deleted and your affiliation ends; the payouts we made to you are kept as accounting records.
